JPA accounts are password protected, therefore if you are unable to access JPA using your login credentials you will be locked out of your account. To reset your password you need to click the 'Forgot your password?' link on the login screen.

You have 5 attempts to access JPA correctly. The 6th incorrect attempt will result in your account being locked out. Logging into JPA provides more helpful guidance.
Memorable data is used to check your identity if you need to contact the JPA Enquiry Centre (JPAC EC). You should therefore set your memorable data as a priority task when you first log onto JPA.

Vacation rules are used to handle notifications when you are still assigned to your position but you are absent, for example on leave and therefore unable to action your workflow.
You can create (and amend) a vacation rule on JPA under the Workflow notifications menu. Vacation rules provides guidance and information on how to do this.
