What you need to know

Service Leavers (SL) are defined as:

  • Normal discharge - Service Persons (SP) discharged either on completion of their engagement, or having submitted their notice to leave, or having been given notice of discharge under redundancy
  • Medical discharge - SP who have been medically discharged

When a Service Person is identified as a Service Leaver an automated workflow notification will be generated.

What you need to do

  • you will need to view your workflow notification ‘SP is to report to their SRA for interview’

The following screen will be displayed.

  • read the screen and access your resettlement summary. Click MOD Form 1711 Resettlement Summary
  • review MOD Form 1771 Resettlement Summary - check all are correct in Resettlement Details, Contact details and Qualifications and Experiences screens (for further guidance please click here)
    • click Back
    • return to workflow notification 'SP is to report to their SRA for interview’
    • click OK
  • arrange mandatory briefing with the SRA
    • liaise with LM and SRA for a convenient time – this is a mandatory briefing and must be conducted at the earliest opportunity
  • attend mandatory briefing with the SRA

On completion of the mandatory briefing with the SRA a JPA workflow notification will be received.

You will need to view your workflow notification action required 'SP to complete Resettlement Registration'. The following screen will be displayed:

Update Post Discharge Address

  • click Enter Post Discharge Address. For further information please click here

Review MOD Form 1173 Part 3 Interview Form

  • click MOD Form 1173 Part 3 Interview Form and the following screen will be displayed:

  • review the content
  • click Back

Review MOD Form 1173 Part 4 Interview Form

  • select MOD Form 1173 Part 4 SRA Interview Form and the following screen will be displayed:
    • review the content
    • select Back

To accept the interview summary, you will need to click workflow notification Action Required ‘SP to complete Resettlement Registration’. The following screen will be displayed:

You will then need to:

  • complete the ‘I agree to my personal data being held in accordance to the DPA’ box
  • complete the ‘I agree to my data being passed to 3rd parties for compiling statistical data’ box
  • complete the ‘I agree to abide by the rules/spirit of JSP 534 when undertaking resettlement’ box
  • if you need to add any additional information or reject any of the data contained in the Interview Forms then you should also complete the free text box entitled Additional Information/Reason for Rejection
  • click I Accept Interview Summary or I Reject Interview Summary

Selecting ‘I Reject Interview Summary’ will generate a workflow notifying the SRA. A further interview will then be required to discuss the reason the interview summary has been rejected.
