Defence Discount Service is the official Ministry of Defence discount service for the armed forces.
As the only official Ministry of Defence discount service for the UK’s Armed Forces, Defence Discount Service offers its members access to over 12,000 online and high street discounts from large national retailers and local businesses across the UK in categories such as:

- cars
- day out
- fashion
- gifts
- insurance
- phone and more
The website is free to sign up to and use online offers, and Defence Discount Service also offers a Defence Privilege Card (costing just £4.99 and remaining valid for 5 years) that can be used to obtain discounts in participating high street shops, restaurants, cinemas and venues across the UK.
Members can also download the free Defence Discount Service app from the App Store or Google Play Store to get discounts on the go – allowing them to save while they shop wherever they are.
What you need to do
To claim you will need to:
- register - visit the Defence Discount Service website to register and for further information
- verify your details and log in - once you have registered your account, you will receive an email confirmation via your chosen email address. Click the link to verify your details and log in to begin saving while you shop straight away
