The Data Protection Act 2018 controls how your personal information is used by organisations, businesses or the government. It is the UK’s implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) takes its obligations under the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation very seriously.
All queries and requests will be addressed as soon as possible. Where we can retrieve information and send it to you electronically, we will endeavour to do so. In some instances, the information you have requested will be held in paper or microfiche formats only. If this is the case, we will not be able to process your application until we are able to access those records again.
What you need to do
To request information about your individual rights under Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA18) you will need to complete the MOD data subject access rights form 7779.
