What you need to know

Call Forward of Leave enables you to call (or bring) forward up to 10 days leave of your Annual Leave Allowance from the upcoming leave year into the current leave year.

It is important that you have read and understood JSP 760 - Tri-Service Regulations for Leave and Other Types of Absences before proceeding.

You must make sure that you will be able to take the leave you have called forward and you must keep at least 28 days leave in the upcoming leave year, as required under the Working Time Regulations.

You will not usually be permitted to apply to call forward leave more than once in a rolling two-leave year period, although exceptional circumstances may be considered.

It is your responsibility to make sure you will have enough leave (a minimum of 28 days) available for the following year.

What you need to do

You should submit your application to your line manager on JPA. The Flexible Working page can help you with this process.

If you don’t have access to JPA then you should send JPA Form R001 to your line manager.
